Welcome to the website of the Port Sunlight Choral Society – a community choir based in Wirral, in the North West of England. We perform regular concerts at local venues, with a repertoire ranging from madrigals to musicals, Bach to Bruckner, and much more.
We are always keen to encourage new members in all voice parts. No audition is necessary, and we are a friendly bunch (even putting up with our MD’s really bad jokes), so if you’d like to try us out for a few weeks with no obligation or membership payable, please let us know.
In December 2017, we performed our traditional Family Christmas Concert in Port Sunlight, with Port Sunlight Lyceum Brass, the choir of St Bridget’s C of E Primary School, West Kirby, and the handbell group from the Wirral Centre for Young Musicians. A great time was had by all!
Our next concert will be the next step in our journey around the music of Europe through the Baroque period. Following on from Messiah (2016) and the music of Vivaldi (2017), we’ll be performing the music of Marc-Antoine Charpentier with soloists and orchestra at Christ Church, Port Sunlight on Saturday 10 February 2018, starting at 7.30pm. See you there!
